Nettrix R640 G50 is a high-end 4U rack-mounted high-density storage server that meets the demanding application requirements of large capacity, strong performance, scalability, and high reliability, ensuring key businesses' stable operation. The server supports up to 24 x 3.5" drives in the front and is compatible with NVMe drives, allowing for hot-swapping. The rear of the server can accommodate up to 16 x 3.5" drives and up to 4 x 2.5" drives. Internally, the server supports up to 2 x SATA/PCIe M.2 drives and includes 1 onboard eMMC chip.

Solution Under Test Configuration Notes

The benchmark was performed on a single Nettrix R640 G50 server equipped with local NVMe storage disks. 8 NVMe SSD disks were setup with XFS filesystem and mounted. RHEL-9.2 OS was installed on a SATA SSD. No additional external clients, storage devices, or network devices were connected to this setup. The system features dual Intel Xeon Platinum 8592+ processors with 128 cores (2 x 64cores) and 8 x 2.5" NVMe SSDs were utilized to run this benchmark. The testing was executed with Hyper-Threading enabled in BIOS to enable 256 threads for enhanced processing power.

This server contains 8 NVMe SSD disks for local storage. The disks have been set up with XFS filesystem and mounted. Data is written directly onto the XFS filesystem and the NVMe storage devices, with no other external storage devices being used.

The benchmark was performed on a single Nettrix R640 G50 server equipped with local NVMe storage disks. No additional external clients, storage devices, or network devices were connected to this setup. Benchmarking was performed on Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 9.2 (Plow) using the default kernel 5.14.0-284.11.1.el9_2.x86_64. The Spectre or Meltdown (CVE-2017-5754, CVE-2017-5753, CVE-2017-5715) fix were applied to CPU and OS by vendors.
