Tuning |
- Each JVM instance was bound to a different "consecutive CPU group of four" (like "CPU0-3" or "CPU4-7") in each "Node" respectively with "Set Affinity" feature in Windows Task Manager.
- Using the local security settings console, "lock pages in memory" was enabled for the user running the benchmark.
- Hardware Prefetcher was disabled in BIOS.
- Adjacent Cache Line Prefetch was disabled in BIOS.
- Power Technology was set to Custom in BIOS.
- Patrol Scrubbing was disabled in Server Web Console.
|
Notes |
- input.expected_peak_warehouse was set to 4, because Runtime.getRuntime().availableProcessors() doesn't return the number of processors in the system but return that in the processor group which JVM process belongs to on systems with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and more than 64 processor threads.
- Command line options are described at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13150_01/jrockit_jvm/jrockit/jrdocs/refman/intro.html.
