Client Driver Notes

Physical client server 1 is the prime controller. It runs Red Hat Enterprise Server 5 U5 64-bit (kernel 2.6.18-194.el5)
Physical client servers 2 and 3, host 10 clients VMs. Physical client server 4, hosts 8 clients VMs
For clients 2, 3, and 4, 1 physical GbE NIC is dedicated for ESXi VMkernel
For clients 2, 3 and 4, 1 vswitch is setup per physical GbE NIC. In each vswitch, 2 VMs Port Group are setup. There is one Port Group per tile
Each VM client has 1 vNIC eth0 connected to a dedicated VM Port Group
For clients 2 and 3, 5 physical GbE NICs are used for VMs clients
For client 4, 4 physical GbE NICs are used for VMs clients
Each client VM runs Red Hat Enterprise Server 5 U5 64-bit (kernel 2.6.18-194.el5) with
2 vCPUs, 4 GB RAM, 1 vNIC Gbps, 2 GB disk size, MTU=1500 for eth0
In all client VMs, JVM used is Oracle jre-1.6.0_23-fcs

Other Notes

Switch used for ethernet: Cisco 3750 48 ports Gbps
Switch used for Fiber Channel: None, the SUT is in direct attachment to the SAN
