Other Notes

There is one SGI InfiniteStorage TP9700 RAID array attached to
the SUT. The TP9700 contains 2 controllers. Each controller is
connected to an FC port. Also, each controller has a 1024MiB cache.
Cache is not mirrored so that the total effective write cache is
2048MiB.
There are 8 TP-73GB-DE2-G expansion units connected to the TP9700.
Every TP-73GB-DE2-G includes 14 physical disks. A LUN is composed of
2 physical disks in a RAID-1 configuration. In every case, the disks
in a LUN are in separate expansion units and serviced by separate
back end FC loops. There is one test filesystem per LUN.
XFS is used for all test filesystems (F1-F56) as well as the OS.
4 dual port Gigabit Ethernet adapters were installed, one in each
processor module. Only one port of each Gigabit Ethernet adapter
was used during the benchmark run.
One dual port 4 Gb FC HBA was installed in the second processor module.
Ethernet frames (1500 byte MTU) were used during the benchmark run.
Server tuning to factory settings.
MiB = 2^^20 bytes and kiB = 2^^10 bytes in conformance to
standards laid out at http://physics.nist.gov/cuu/Units/binary.html
GB in Memory Size is 2^^30. Elsewhere, giga (G) is 10^^9.
