SPECjbb2000 Changes in v1.02

Note: The benchmark workload has not changed; results generated with v1.02 are comparable to results generated with v1.01 and v1.00. SPEC will not distinguish between SPECjbb2000 v1.02 and SPECjbb2000 v1.01 and v1.00 results on its website.

Changes were made so that the recording of per-warehouse detailed information in the raw file optional. When generating the benchmark reports the per-warehouse detail is not used. It is useful for detailed analysis of the system’s performance, and was included originally for this reason. Unfortunately, as the number of CPUs in the systems being tested increases, the size of the raw results file increases exponentially when this detailed information is included.

To alleviate this problem, the per-warehouse detail has been made optional and is not included by default. A new property (input.show_warehouse_detail) is available, when set to ‘true’the benchmark will include the pre-warehouse detail in the raw results file. When generating results for submission to SPEC, it is recommended that this option be set to ‘false’.
