SPEC CPU2000 To Be Retired in February 2007

With the release of SPEC CPU2006, SPEC has begun the process of retiring the SPEC CPU2000 benchmark suite. Starting November 24th, 2006, SPEC is requiring all SPEC CPU2000 submissions to the SPEC web site to be accompanied by a SPEC CPU2006 result on the same hardware configuration. This is to motivate the population of the SPEC CPU2006 result database. Beginning February 24th, 2007, SPEC will stop accepting SPEC CPU2000 submissions for publication on the SPEC web site.
